Vaughan is the owner of Insource Renewables, a clean energy contracting firm based in Pittsfield, ME. Insource specializes in the design, installation, and service of grid-tied and off-grid solar photovoltaic systems, heat pump systems, solar heating systems, energy storage solutions, and electric vehicle charging stations.
Vaughan serves as the chair of MABEP’s Committee on Renewable Energy, Maine’s solar trade association. He writes for various national solar trade publications, trains solar professionals across the country, and serves on technical committees for several key organizations in the national solar industry.
Vaughan earned a B.S. Civil Engineering from the University of Maine and an M.A. Education from Prescott College (AZ).
Vaughan lives in Pittsfield, ME with his wife, Holly Zadra, his two sons and his two stepsons. He co-founded the Heart of Pittsfield, a nonprofit focused on revitalizing his hometown, and is leading a small business incubator working to increase the competitiveness for local startups.
