Sadie Lloyd Mudge is the City Planner in Belfast where she manages City energy projects.
Belfast currently offsets close to 90% of their electric load with solar generation; in 2015 the City installed the first solar array on a landfill in Maine and in 2018 installed a 660kW AC system on their Public Works property. The City is currently constructing a new Public Works facility that will have no fuel bill and is in the process of upgrading their aerobic digestion treatment plant to run on renewables. Prior to her position in Belfast Sadie worked at Efficiency Maine.
Sadie regularly advises Maine municipalities in the pursuit of their own energy projects and has presented on the subject at numerous conferences around the State. She has a Masters Degree in Planning from the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Maine, where she conducted research on State demographics and Climate Change planning. Sadie servers on multiple committees for organizations that support land preservation in Maine.
In her free time, she runs a small business and is an avid adventurer.
